For 1.0-Litre TSI Motor

The upcoming new Volkswagen Taigun will get two BS6 compliant turbo petrol engine options. The first one will be a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that will churn out 115 PS of maximum power and 175 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. For 1.5-Litre TSI Motor

The all-new Volkswagen Taigun will also get a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This new mill is VW Group’s popular 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This BS6 motor will pump out 150 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG. This powerful 1.5-litre TSI motor will also come with active cylinder deactivation technology to boost the fuel economy of this mid-size SUV on the go. Dimensions and Boot Space

The new VW Taigun measures 4221 mm in length, 1760 mm in width and 1612 mm in height. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2652 mm and offers a massive ground clearance of 188 mm. The SUV can seat 5 people and it gets four doors and a rear hatch. The VW Taigun offers 385 litres of boot space and this mid-size SUV has a fuel tank capacity of 50 litres.

Looks and Colour Options

The new Volkswagen Taigun is a typical Volkswagen car and it looks identical to other more expensive VW cars like the T-Roc, Tiguan and the Tiguan All Space. The VW Taigun doesn’t have a butch appeal but it does have an understated elegance. At the front, it features LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs and a chrome embellished grille along with the new VW logo. The SUV has body cladding all around and it gets skid plates at the front and at the rear along with a lot of chrome accents. It runs on 17-inch machined-cut alloy wheels and at the rear, it gets unique LED taillights with a connecting appeal. The VW Taigun will be available in five colour options and this SUV’s marketing shade is Yellow.

The upcoming new Volkswagen Taigun will get a ton of features. For instance, the all-new Volkswagen Taigun will get a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The new Volkswagen Taigun has not been launched in India yet. The company has now officially announced its launch date and this mid-size SUV will be launched in India on September 23, 2021. The bookings for the VW Taigun are now already open across the country. The all-new Volkswagen Taigun is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakhs – Rs 17 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, this SUV will directly rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Nissan Kicks. However, indirectly it will also rival the MG Hector, Tata Harrier and some other seven-seater SUVs.
