Volkswagen India launched the Volkswagen Taigun mid-size SUV in the Indian market in 2021. The new Volkswagen Taigun is the company’s first product under the India 2.0 strategy and VW Group’s second product after the recently launched Skoda Kushaq. New VW Taigun Blue Colour (Rising Blue)
The new VW Taigun gets two BS6 compliant turbo petrol engine options. The first one is a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that churns out 115 PS of maximum power and 175 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It also gets a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This new engine is VW Group’s popular 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This BS6 motor pumps out 150 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG. This powerful 1.5-litre TSI motor also comes with active cylinder deactivation technology to boost the fuel economy of the SUV.

The price of the new VW Taigun mid-size SUV starts in India at Rs. 11.62 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, for the base model, while the price of the Taigun’s new GT line’s top model has been priced at Rs 19.06 lakhs. All the prices mentioned here belong to Ex-showroom New Delhi.
