There were speculations buzzing regarding the Tata Altroz to likely receive a turbo petrol engine from Nexon. Now this speculation has been confirmed and the Tata Altroz is going to receive the 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine in a slightly higher state of tune. However, much ahead of the release of Altroz, Tatas have thrown out a teaser of the brand new car revealing the stunning look and features.
Tata Motors’ new premium hatchback Altroz has successfully established itself among the customers since its launch in January 2020 reflecting a positive response. The Turbocharge petrol range of the Tata Altroz is expected to be launched on the 13th of January 2021.
The Tata Altroz turbo petrol is expected to produce 110 PS of power and transmission options are expected to be a five-speed manual gearbox and a brand new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This will be similar to Tata Nexon, while Nexon produces a slightly higher 120 PS of maximum power. However, the automatic transmission option is expected to arrive at a later date.
Apart from the new engine and transmission option, the Tata Altroz is also expected to receive a brand new XZ+ variant. This would include new features such as a 60/40 split-fold in the rear seat, LED headlamps, 360-degree camera, a new upholstery design, shark fin antenna, telescopic steering and connected car features carried over from the Nexon Tata BS6. Instead of regular economy mode, Tata Altroz will feature sports mode thus enhancing the quality feature of this hatchback. This variant would also include a standard engine start-stop system similar to the non-turbocharged engine variants.

Pricing for the new petrol equipped vehicle is expected to start from 7.99 lakhs and can go up to 8.75 lakhs from the XZ variant. Further details regarding the pricing will be revealed completely on 13 January 2021 during the launch.
