Tata Motors launched the all-new 2021 Tata Safari in the Indian market in January this year. The new Tata Safari isn’t the new-gen version of the original Tata Safari 4X4 hard-core SUV. Instead, the new 2021 Tata Safari is essentially just a seven-seater version of the Harrier which was earlier supposed to be named as the Gravitas. However, the company renamed it as the Safari at the last moment and the Tata Safari brand name has made it very popular. Tata Safari Engine Specs
The new Tata Safari draws power from a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. This diesel mill pumps out 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and it gets a 6-speed torque converter AT too. However, it doesn’t get an all-wheel-drive system or even 4×4, unlike the Mahindra XUV 700. The Tata Safari doesn’t even get a petrol engine too. However, its diesel engine and automatic gearbox is one of the best in its segment.
Tata Safari Features and Safety
The Tata Safari gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and it even gets Tata’s iRA connectivity with a host of connected car features. Some other features of the new Safari include a semi-digital cluster, panoramic sunroof, etc. The safety features of the SUV include up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), HSA (Hill-Start Assist Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), rear parking sensors with a camera, etc.

Tata Safari Price in India
The new Tata Safari is currently priced in India between Rs 14.99 lakhs – Rs 23.18 lakhs, as the company has recently launched its new Gold Edition too. All the prices of the Tata Safari SUV mentioned here are applicable to Ex-showroom New Delhi.
