Tata Punch Mini SUV’s World Premiere in India on 4th October – Specs, Features, Price and More

Tata Motors has officially announced that the new Tata Punch Mini SUV will make its World Premiere in India on 4th October 2021. The new Tata Punch is the production-spec version of the Tata HBX concept SUV that was showcased in India at the Auto Expo 2020. Now, the production version of this new mini SUV remains more or less the same as its concept version and it shares its engine and features with the Tiago and the Altroz. Tata Punch Launch Date, Bookings and Price

The new Tata Punch mini SUV will make its World Premiere in India on 4th October 2021 and it is then expected to be launched in India by the end of this month. It will lock horns against the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Mahindra KUV 100, etc. The Tata Punch mini SUV is expected to be priced from just Rs 5 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Also, the bookings for the Tata Punch are now unofficially open at select Tata Motors dealerships across the country. One can book this mini SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 5,000 – Rs 21,000, depending on the region and the dealership. Also, this is a fully refundable booking amount and so one can easily book the Tata Punch now and cancel it later, in case they want to do the same.

Tata Punch Engine Specifications

The upcoming new Tata Punch Mini SUV will draw power from a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. This updated new BS6 motor will churn out 86 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT. It will also get a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that also does its duty in the new Tata Altroz iTurbo. It will pump out 110 PS of max. power and 140 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox only.

Tata Punch Features and Competition

The new Tata Punch mini SUV will be based on Tata Motors’ new ALFA platform which also underpins the Altroz. At the front, it will get a Harrier-inspired fascia with LED DRLs at the top and a headlamp at the bottom along with fog lamps. The mini SUV will also get body cladding, faux skid plates and attractive dual-tone alloy wheels. It will feature a semi-digital instrument cluster, a 7.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, etc. The safety features of the SUV will include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, seat belt reminders, a high-speed alert system, reverse parking sensors with a camera, etc.
