Most of the Indian car manufacturers are hiking prices of their products. After Isuzu, Toyota, Skoda and Renault, Tata Motors has made an official statement that its passenger vehicle prices will be increased by up to INR 40,000. Nothing to worry, as the price hike will be effective from January 2019. So, everyone who is planning to book a Tata car, better hurry up!
Mayank Pareek, president, passenger vehicle business unit, Tata Motors, said, “We are optimistic on maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming year on the back of our robust portfolio consisting of segment-leading products like Tiago, Hexa, Tigor and the Nexon.” The reason for the increase in prices is because of hike in fuel prices and rise of input costs.
The year 2018 has been a good year for the company as its compact SUV Nexon scored a 5-star rating at the Global NCAP crash test. Apart from this, its new products the Tiago JTP , Tigor JTP and Nexon have been well received by the Indian market. Tata is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming flagship SUV the Harrier which was recently showcased to the media. To know more about the SUV click here.
