Suzuki will globally unveil a sportier version of the Ertiga MPV on March 23, 2019. Called the Ertiga GT, this new model will first be launched in the Indonesian market, and will subsequently be introduced in other countries as well. Owing to the Ertiga’s popularity in India, we are quite sure that Maruti Suzuki will bring in the GT model here pretty soon.
Ahead of the Suzuki Ertiga GT’s official unveiling, images of the same have leaked on the Internet, showing everything that will be changed on the sportier MPV. According, to these images, the Ertiga GT will get a body kit all around, including front and rear bumper extensions and side skirts. The all black model clicked in the images also has a few red accents across the exteriors that enhance its looks. The front grille is updated to adorn a closer mesh pattern, while the multi-spoke alloy wheels are finished in glossy black. There’s also a significantly sized roof mounted spoiler at the back that completes the MPV’s sporty looks.
Not much is expected to change in the engine department as the Ertiga GT will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre, four cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This is similar to what is offered on the regular Ertiga. If launched in India, the Ertiga GT will also be offered with the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel or a new 1.5-litre diesel engine that is currently being developed by Maruti Suzuki.
