Steelbird Hi-Tech India, a two-wheeler safety equipment manufacturer, has launched the new Blauer POD open-face helmet in India. The latest retro-styled offering has a vintage flair and starts at Rs. 9,079 and goes up to Rs. 9,379. The helmets come in sizes ranging from XS (Extra Small) to Large. The Blauer POD is placed at the premium end of the helmet market, competing with Bell, AGV, and Axor. The Brat open-face helmet was also recently launched by the American brand.
The Blauer POD has a lightweight fibreglass shell that promises high security. The helmet shell is manufactured using a balloon moulding process, according to the brand, which makes it lighter, heavier, and more robust. The interior lining for the helmet is made in compliance with REACH regulations, which are set up by the European Commission to monitor and protect the environment from hazardous materials. The model has a dual visor with an inner sun shield and is available in clear or smoke. options A quick-release mechanism buckle is also included on the Blauer POD.
The helmet is available in retro colour choices including titanium, black, and white, which really sets the helmet apart from the competition. Different graphic patterns, such as stripes and monochrome, add to the appeal.
