Skoda is aiming to bring a number of new models to the Indian market this year and the most notable model which is expected to go on sale very soon is Skoda’s popular sedan Rapid in a CNG avatar.
Zac Hollis, Director, Sales & Marketing, Skoda India confirmed on social media that the new Skoda Rapid CNG variant will soon go on sale in the Indian market.
He confirmed testing of the CNG version of the Rapid sedan and over the next 12 months, four new products will be launched in the Indian market.
Zac Hollis tweeted, “Yes CNG is in testing. We at Skoda are launching 4 new products in the next 12 months, starting with the World Premier of Kushaq this month.”
The Skoda Kushaq mid-size SUV is the first among the four models set to world premiere in the 3rd week of this month while the latest-gen Octavia will also be introduced along with a new C-segment sedan that will be positioned above the Rapid in Skoda`s line-up.
Zac Hollis had previously confirmed that the new sedan model is set to be a bigger car and could be named the ‘Slavia’. Skoda Auto India has already released both the exterior and interior official designs of the upcoming Kushaq SUV.
The company is strategizing on an aggressive sales strategy for the year 2021. Skoda is aiming to launch a number of new models in the domestic market starting with the Kushaq SUV and aims to garner a wider customer base.
