Zac Hollis commented, “In September we will launch the automatic version of the new Rapid TSI. It`s a torque converter box. More details nearer the time”

The 2020 Skoda Rapid comes powered by a 1.0 litre 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol TSI engine mated to a 6-speed slick shifting manual gearbox. This engine produces 108 PS of power and 175 Nm of peak torque. Very soon this engine will be available with a 6-speed torque converter unit. DriveStreak will share more details on the Rapid Automatic as the launch date comes closer.

Features wise the 2020 Rapid TSI is well equipped with LED projector headlights with integrated LED DRLs, black roof and black ORVMs (only seen on the Monte Carlo variant), LED taillights and trunk spoiler.

Inside the cabin for the higher-spec variants you get an eight inch infotainment system, cruise control, flat bottom steering wheel, rear AC vents and leather upholstery to name a few.

The 2020 Rapid goes up against the likes of the Volkswagen Vento, Honda City and the Hyundai Verna.
