Royal Enfield Scram 411 Launched In India

Home grown automaker Royal Enfield has launched the Scram 411 in the country today priced at Rs. 2.03 lakhs. The bike is available in seven colour choices and the ex-showroom price of the bike will depend on the colour shade you choose. The Royal Enfield Scram is a more affordable option when compared to the Himalayan Adventure bike.

The newly launched Scram 411 will rival the likes of the Yezdi Scrambler and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 in the Indian bike market. In terms of design the bike features a round looking headlight which gives it an old school charm, a single-piece seat, a fully digital circular instrumental cluster, and an LED taillight. The Royal Enfield Scram 411 has been built for mild-off roading and city driving and that’s the reason why it rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod with dual purpose tyres.

The design differs significantly from the RE Himlayan because it lacks a windscreen, a beak-like mudguard, and a luggage rack. Instead, the Scram 411 2022 receives a standard mudguard, new tank shrouds, and a grab rail. This bike includes a factory-installed sump guard to protect the engine while off-roading. Its importance may be shown in the fact that replacing a sump guard is significantly less expensive than repairing a complete engine.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is powered by a long-stroke engine identical to the Himalayan. It’s a 411 cc air-cooled engine generating a maximum power of 24.3 bhp and a maximum torque of 32 Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Both ends are equipped with disc brakes, which are further backed by dual-channel ABS. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks with 190 mm of travel and a rear mono-shock with 180 mm of travel.
