Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 Redditch ABS in India. The motorcycle is priced at Rs. 1.52 lakhs (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). RE has been launching ABS versions of its motorbikes at regular intervals.
The Classic 350 Redditch motorbike is inspired from bikes built at Royal Enfield`s manufacturing facility in Redditch, UK. The Redditch series of motorcycles feature colored fuel tanks while the rest of the bike is finished in black and chrome. The bike is available in three attractive color options – blue, green and red.
The ABS version of the 350 Redditch gets its juice from the same engine that powers the Classic 350. It is a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled unit that produces 19.8 bhp of power @5250 rpm and 28 Nm of twisting force @4000 rpm.
The ABS version is priced at a premium of Rs.6,000 over the regular variant. Royal Enfield has introduced the ABS version after the government of India has made it mandatory that all two-wheelers above 125 cc need to be equipped with ABS.
Recently Jawa introduced the Jawa 300 and Jawa FortyTwo which are available with single channel ABS. This move would help Royal Enfield rival the recently launched Jawa bikes.
