The S1 Air is Ola’s entry-level electric scooter, priced at Rs 79,999. This introductory price is valid until October 24, after which it will be Rs 84,999. The S1 Air has more basic underpinnings and fewer ride modes than its more expensive siblings, the S1 and S1 Pro. The S1 Air is available in three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sports. It has a claimed range of 101km in Eco mode.
The Ola S1 Air has a smaller 2.5kWh battery pack (0-100 percent home charge in 4 hours 30 minutes) and a 4.5kW hub-mounted motor, giving it a claimed top speed of 90kph and a claimed range of 101km in Eco mode.
The S1 Air has a more traditional telescopic front fork, twin rear shock absorbers, and drum brakes on both ends. Because of these modifications, the S1 Air weighs 99kg, making it significantly lighter than the 125kg Ola S1 Pro.
The S1 Air’s seat has been redesigned, and it now features a more basic single-piece tubular grab handle. The S1 Air has 34 liters of storage space, compared to the 36 liters of its more expensive siblings. It has a flat floorboard, which makes it easier to transport luggage than the curved floorboards found on the other two Ola e-scooters.
On the technology front, the S1 Air will come with the same 7-inch touchscreen TFT display as its more upmarket siblings and even gets reversing functionality. The S1 Air will come equipped with the MoveOS 3.0 software as standard, which will open up features such as hill-hold functionality, moods, different profiles that eliminate the need to share passcodes, and even proximity alert. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2023, claims Ola.
