MG Motor India announced yesterday that its sales figures rose by 33 percent which amounted to 4,010 units for the month of December 2020. Compared to the same month last year, the firm had marketed 3,021 units.
The brand sold 3,430 units of Hector, 458 units of Gloster along with 122 units of ZS electric SUV in December 2020.
“We have ended the year on a high note with clients continuing to opt for the best-in-class premium products from MG’s secure. Going forward, we’ll have more enthusiasm for the customers in January.
The carmaker said it will be taking preventive annual maintenance shutdown at its Halol manufacturing facility in Gujarat through the first ten days of January, that could influence its production during the month.
This combined with lockdown limitations could hamper supply and operations too, the automaker noted.
MG said it will continue to ramp up the production of its flagship SUV Gloster and expects to stabilise the creation from March 2021.
The company has 3,000 bookings and retailed 1,085 units of the Gloster SUV in 2 months, it said.
