Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet is now available for Rs. 1.30 crores (ex-showroom). This year marks the debut of the German luxury carmaker in India.
In 2022, they sold 15,822 units, making it the best year in terms of sales for the brand and the best Q4 in the history of Mercedes-Benz India.
The company claims to have started the product offensive with the introduction of the E 53 Cabriolet. It is India’s first Cabriolet in AMG form.
It is powered by a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 435 HP at 6100 RPM and 520 Nm of torque between 1800 and 5800 RPM. This engine is paired with an integrated starter generator, which provides 22 HP and 250 Nm of EQ Boost.
This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It also has 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The E 53 AMG Cabriolet accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h.
From the front, it resembles the E-Class, but with the sporty touch of the AMG grille and bumper. With those wraparound tail lights, the rear profile looks quite sleek. It also appears to be quite sporty, with quad exhausts and a sharp rear profile.
