The Huracan Super Trofeo first went on sale seven years ago, and now the Italian car manufacturer has unveiled an improved version. Lamborghini introduced an updated version of the track-only EVO-based Huracan, the Super Trofeo EVO2, nearly three years ago. The new Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, Lamborghini’s motorsport division’s latest invention, will debut in the Trofeo championship in 2022.
Lamborgini paid close attention to the aerodynamics and body sleekness of the EVO2. It gets slender, LED-lit lights on the front, and is styled with a hexagonal theme. The front spoiler lip connects with the carbon fiber fins to provide a visual link with the Super Trofeo Omologata. Then, carbon fiber rear wing intakes assist with airflow optimization even more than before. However, an in-depth inspection of the taillight frame reveals a hint of Countach’s influence.
Lamborghini Squadra Corse additionally modified the body panels. So, the side panel/panniers are made of carbon fiber, and the rear end panels as well. A single part contains a piece of the side spoiler. Steel disc brakes measuring 390 mm are present at the front. These are around 10 mm bigger than the ones seen on the Huracan EVO. Additionally, the calipers have been changed, with increased pad surface area for enhanced braking.
Moving on to the powertrain, the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 is powered by a 604 HP naturally-aspirated V10 engine that drives the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential transmission. Lamborghini will also offer conversion kits to previous Huracan Super Trofeo EVO owners, so even they can upgrade their cars.
