The Lamborghini Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologata) is priced at Rs. 4.99 crore in India (ex-showroom). It’s a street-legal supercar modelled by the Huracan GT3 Evo and Super Trofeo Evo race cars. According to the company, the Huracan STO “delivers all the excitement of a wonderfully balanced, lightweight, and aerodynamically superior super sports vehicle,” according to the company. It claims to provide “Super Trofeo driving sensations and thrills” as well as “extensive technical solutions and intelligence garnered from both Super Trofeo and GT3 programmes.”
The Huracan STO gets a 5.2 litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that also powers the Huracan Evo and Performante. The motor produces 640bhp of peak power and 565Nm of torque. It is tuned to provide a dynamic and responsive racing experience and better engine sound at high revs.
The super sports car can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in only three seconds. STO, Trofeo, and Pioggia are the three new ANIMA driving modes. Brembo CCM-R brakes, which have four times the thermal conductivity of standard CCB brakes, are used in the car’s braking system.
The Lamborghini Huracan STO is 83kg and 43kg lighter than the Huracan Evo and Performante, thanks to body panels constructed of 75% carbon fibre. It’s also a lightweight performance machine, thanks to the carbon fibre components. Its front fenders, bumper, and fenders are made of ‘Cofango,’ which cuts weight and improves motorsports performance.
New air ducts on the front bonnet, a rear fender with NACA air intake, a rear-engine bonnet with air scoop, a shark fin, and an adjustable rear wing all contribute to the car’s improved aerodynamics. The heavy usage of carbon fibre inside the cabin is also noticeable. The Huracan STO features Alcantara interiors with Lamborghini’s Carbon skin, total carbon fibre sport seats, carbon fibre floor mats, four-point seat belts, a fully integrated telemetry system, touchscreen with new Human Machine Interface (HMI), and a slew of other high-tech features.
