Lamborghini has launched the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder in India at a price of Rs. 3.54 lakh (ex-showroom), more than a year after introducing the coupe variant of the supercar.
The Huracan Evo is easily recognizable as a convertible supercar because of its distinctive appearance. The Spyder’s design upgrades, according to Lamborghini, optimize drag reduction and downforce.
According to the company, the soft-top, which is operational at speeds of up to 50 km/h, keeps the cockpit relatively quiet. As an added advantage, the driver can open the rear window with the soft-top up or down to hear the powerful engine that sits in the center of the chassis.
And what a beast of an engine it is. The naturally aspirated V10 has a displacement of 5204cc and produces 610 horsepower at 8000 RPM and 560 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. It is coupled to a 7-speed DCT.
Despite its 1509 kg (dry) weight, the open-top 2-wheel-drive Huracan Evo can sprint from 0 to 100 km/hr in 3.5 seconds and reach a max speed of 324 km/hr. It also includes a P-TCS traction control system, which the automaker claims is custom-tuned for this model.
The supercar’s cabin is identical to the coupe’s. Customers will receive an 8.4-inch touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, and other goodies as part of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder pricing.
But the driving experience is what this automobile is all about, and it can be changed by pressing the ‘ANIMA’ button on the steering wheel. The driver can choose between ‘Strada,’ ‘Sport,’ and ‘Corsa’ settings to either relax or take the car into control and tackle corners at high speeds.
