Austrian bike maker KTM has launched the 250 Adventure in India priced at Rs. 2.48 lakhs ex-showroom, New Delhi.
By launching this bike in India KTM plans to take on the adventure sports tourer segment which has seen a growing demand in the recent years.
You can easily identify that the KTM 250 Adventure is a KTM product. It comes with signature styling elements of a adventure motorcycle, like a raised suspension, upswept exhaust, windscreen etc.
The KTM Adventure 250 is powered by 248.76 CC 4-valve single cylinder engine that churns out 30 HP of power and 24m of torque. This engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox and comes with a power assist slipper clutch.
Suspension duties at the front are performed by WP Apex 43 mm USD (170 mm travel) and a preload adjustable rear mono-shock with 177 mm travel.
The bike is built on a trellis frame, gets a 14.5-litre fuel tank, 855 mm seat height, 200 mm ground clearance and weighs 177 kg. It gets LED tail light and blinkers, while the headlight is a conventional unit.
Its also gets an LCD display with a separate button to select off-road ABS, a 12V power socket, toothed foot-pegs and a robust engine guard too.
Heavy-duty cast wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear) wheels are wrapped in 100-section (front) and 130-section (rear) MRF tyres. Stopping power is provided by BYBRE units featuring a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc. ABS is also available.
Also available are a wide array of options from KTM PowerParts such as handlebar pads, headlamp protection, GPS brackets, radiator protection grill, and crash bungs
