The updated Kawasaki Z900 price in India starts at Rs. 7.99 lakhs, gets a price hike of Rs. 30,000 over the BS4 model.
Kawsaki Motor India has launched the BS6 Kawsaki Z900 in India tagged at Rs. 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The updated bike sees a Rs. 30,000 hike in its price compared to the 2019 model.
With the additional Rs. 30,000 that you will have to shell out for the new model you get more features, an updated engine and cosmetic changes. The BS6 Z900 gets an all-LED lights set-up which includes headlamp, turn indicators and tail-lamp. It gets a revised tail section and tank extensions as well.
Secondly the naked sports bike gets a new TFT instrument cluster along with Bluetooth connectivity. This is a useful feature for bike riders to connect their smartphone with Kawasaki`s Rideology app. Apart from this the Z900 also gets Kawasaki Traction Control with two modes – Low and Full. Moreover, there are four riding modes on offer for enthusiasts to choose from – Sport, Road, Rain and Rider.
The Kawasaki Z900 gets its juice from a 948 cc in-line four-cylinder motor which produces 123 BHP of peak power at 9500 RPM and 98.6 Nm of torque at 7700 RPM. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip and assist clutch.
The Z900 stands on Dunlop Sportsmax Roadsport 2 tyres. Kawasaki claims the suspension setup has been revised for better handling. Braking duties are performed by dual 300 mm discs at the front and a single 250 mm disc at the rear. On the safety front the bike is equipped with dual-channel ABS.
The Kawasaki Z900 goes-up against the likes of the BMW F 900 R and the Trinuph Street Triple R in the domestic market.
