American brand Jeep has launched the Club Edition models of the Compass and Meridian SUVs in the domestic market to keep the buzz around the brand. Both the Club Editions have been priced at Rs. 20.99 lakh and Rs. 27.75 lakh for the Compass and Meridian respectively. Jeep will be manufacturing the Club Editions in limited numbers and the prices mentioned above are valid till 28th February.

Jeep Compass & Meridian Club Edition – Design
In terms of design the Compass and Meridian Club Edition models look identical to the normal variants. The only difference being an exclusive decal on the hood and a ‘Club Edition’ badge on the tail gate. Both the Editions are based on the base trim the SUVs.
What distinguishes the Club Edition models is the price at which they are offered. The Compass Club Edition costs up to Rs 1.08 lakh less than the regular edition. The Meridian Club Edition is Rs 2.35 lakh less expensive than its base variant.
Jeep Compass & Meridian Club Edition – Engine & Transmission
The Compass and Meridian Club Edition SUVs are available only with one powertrain option. The Compass only has a 163hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine connected to a 7-speed DCT transmission, while the Meridian gets a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. On Club Edition vehicles, neither SUV has the option of a 4×4 powertrain.
Jeep Compass & Meridian Club Edition – Features
The standard equipment list for the Compass and Meridian Club Edition models is the same as it is on the ordinary basic trims. LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, dual airbags, and ESC are among the amenities available on the Compass. The Meridian also receives automatic LED projector headlights, wider 18-inch wheels, a wireless charger, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual zone air conditioning, and six airbags.
The Compass competes with the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
