There is good news for Jawa fans. Classic Legends the company which is resurrecting the Jawa brand has confirmed that the official launch date for Jawa bikes is 15th of November. So, you`ve got to wait for just another one month.

Jawa

With the festive season inching closer there is a lot to be looked forward too. The company plans to showcase three variants of the Jawa motorcycle. Classic Legends has recently revealed the design language and engine specification which will be used on the motorbike.

On the mechanical front the motorcycle will sport a 293-cc single cylinder, fuel injected, DOHC motor which churns out 27 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque. The engine design is in syn with the old Jawa`s design policy. The bike will sport two silencers aided by generous dose of power to satisfy the biking enthusiasts.

Classic Legends is owned by the Mahindra group. The resurrection of the brand will help Mahindra`s ailing two-wheeler business which has not hit the bull’s eye since its products were introduced in the Indian market. The Mahindra Mojo which was a good product with a very competent engine was unable to turn the fortunes of the company, owing to stiff competition from established brands in the two-wheeler space.

The company will initially enter the market with 100 dealerships. The Jawa bikes will directly compete with the likes of brands like Royal Enfield, Bajaj and UM which produce retro themed bikes. Hopefully we will get to see more bikes in this segment with increasing competition.
