Renault Triber is one of the most affordable seven-seater MPVs currently on sale in the Indian market. The Triber was originally launched in the year 2019 and though it fetched good sales numbers for the company, a lot of buyers were sceptical about the safety of this car. If you are planning to buy a new Renault Triber, then you might also have thought that Is Renault Triber A Safe Car? So, in this article, we will be answering this question and let you all know the reality.
Is Renault Triber A Safe Car?
In a nutshell, the answer is a big YES! In fact, the Renault Triber is the safest seven-seater MPV currently on sale in India. As you all might be already knowing, Global NCAP crash tests the cars sold in the Indian market and gives them safety points under its #SaferCarsForIndia campaign which was launched in 2014. Global NCAP launched this program with its sole objective of promoting safer vehicles in the country and recently, India-spec Renault Triber was also crash tested.
To everyone’s surprise, the Renault Triber has achieved an encouraging four-star rating for adult occupants and three stars for child occupants in the Global NCAP’s latest round of #SaferCarsForIndia crash tests. So, in the adult occupant protection category, the MPV scored 11.62 points out of a possible 17 points and managed to get a four-star rating. In the child occupant protection category, the Triber MPV received a three-star rating and scored 27 out of 49 points.

What Global NCAP has to say about Triber’s Safety?
Alejandro Furas, Secretary General of Global NCAP said, “Renault has significantly improved adult occupant protection performance in frontal crashes compared with our 2016 tests on the Kwid. The Triber sets a strong baseline for the manufacturer, and we encourage Renault to maintain this important progress as a minimum with the goal of achieving 5-star levels of safety.” Moreover, David Ward, President of the Towards Zero Foundation said, “It is satisfying to note Renault’s safety improvements with Global NCAP’s Triber crash test result. We would encourage them to continue this progress, and to set a five star or Safer Choice rating as their future target for the Indian market.”
