Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is well-known for exporting its two-wheelers to various markets in Southeast Asia. The Honda Dio, which is made in India, has now been launched in the Philippines for 49,900 PHP which is equal to Rs. 76,600. The Honda Dio, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 63,273 and goes up to Rs. 69,171 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The models available in the Philippines and India are the same. After the Honda Activa, the Dio is one of HMSI’s best-selling scooters in India.
Features-wise the Honda Dio gets an LED headlight, automated instrument console with real-time fuel economy and distance-to-empty readouts, eco indicator, and much more. An external fuel filler cover, a side-stand cut-off switch, and gold-finished wheels are included on the 110cc scooter. The scooter is equipped with a 12-inch front wheel, telescopic front forks, and a three-step adjustable rear suspension. The Honda Dio comes standard with a combined braking system (CBS).
The Dio gets its power from a newly upgraded 110 cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection that produces 7.68 bhp and 8.79 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a CVT transmission. The engine has undergone significant improvements, including new friction reduction technology, enhanced Smart Power (eSP), and Honda Eco Technology (HET), all of which are aimed at improving fuel efficiency. Honda has also included a start-stop switch as well as a new silent starter motor.
