Hyundai has declared to launch a sportier version of the i20 in India. This announcement came following their decision to offer a range of N-Line performance models across the country. The N-line models are powerful versions of standard Hyundai models that are already on sale in the market. The Korean carmaker has even begun the testing of these N-range models on Indian roads.
As per reports, the company has confirmed to launch the i20N in India. One can easily differentiate a regular i20 from the i20N by checking out the set of large alloy wheels and dual exhaust tips at the back. It will cost a little more than the standard i20 model.
The Hyundai i20 N-Line will feature a similar interior and a slightly different exterior for a more sporty look as compared to the standard model. It will come with a larger front grille and a revised bumper with a bigger air intake. It will also have ‘N-Line’ badging on the front grille, along with new side skirts, side sills and contrasting highlights all around.
Apart from the cosmetic changes, it is also reported that the new model will get an upgraded suspension setup and brakes. The model will likely be equipped with a similar 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as the standard model. This engine will produce a maximum power of 120bhp and a peak torque of 172Nm. The company is yet to announce the exact powertrain and engine details.
