The new Hyundai Creta gets two petrol engines and a diesel engine. First of all, it gets a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that dishes out 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and an IVT (CVT). This mid-size SUV gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine too that pumps out the same 115 PS of power but with 250 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque-converter AT. Finally, it gets a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that pumps out 140 PS of power and 242 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) only.

The new Hyundai Creta is currently priced in India between Rs 10.16 lakhs – Rs 17.87 lakhs. All the prices mentioned here belong to Ex-showroom New Delhi. The Hyundai Creta rivals the Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Tata Harrier, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Harrier and even some big seven-seater SUVs like the Mahindra XUV 700, MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and its own sibling, Hyundai Alcazar.
