Hyundai India has finally introduced the new Alcazar three-row SUV in India after a long wait. The Hyundai Alcazar range for 2021 starts at Rs. 16.3 lakh and goes up to Rs. 20 lakh. All prices are (ex-showroom, India). The SUV is available in three different trim levels: Prestige, Premium, and Signature, each having an automatic transmission as an option. The new model shares its underpinnings with the Hyundai Creta, but it receives considerable modifications to further distinguish it as a premium model. The MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the yet to be launched Mahindra XUV700 will all compete against the new Alcazar. Hyundai is offering the Alcazar in 12 variants.

The new Hyundai Alcazar is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 157 bhp of power and 191 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 113 bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission will be available for both engines.
The Korean car maker claims a fuel efficiency of 14.5 kmpl for the petrol manual and 14.2 kmpl for the petrol automatic. The diesel variant, on the other hand, is rated at 20.4 kmpl, while the automatic version delivers 18.1 kmpl.
On tape the Hyundai Alcazar measures 4500 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, and 1675 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2760 mm. The Alcazar is 200 mm longer and 40 mm taller than the Hyundai Creta, while the wheelbase has been expanded by 150 mm. There is no change in width.
The Hyundai Alcazar is well-equipped in terms of features. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a blind view monitor, Bose premium sound system, and 64-color ambient lighting are included in the SUV. The three-row Alcazar will be available with either six or seven seats, as well as a voice-activated smart panoramic sunroof, multi-drive mode (Comfort, Eco, Sport), and traction control modes (Snow, Sand, Mud), as well as a larger instrument cluster.
A second-row tip and tumble function, a front-row setback table, and an air purifier with an AQI display will all be available on the Hyundai Alcazar. Wireless charging will be an option for the second row.
