Honda Updates CB500X Suspension and Brakes

The Honda CB range, which includes the CB500X, CB500F and CBR500R, has received mechanical and cosmetic updates in the global market. Only the CB500X is currently available in India out of the three models. Given that the current model sold in India is the same as the international model, the 500X in India is expected to receive these changes.

The conventional fork has been replaced by a 41mm Showa USD in all three models, including the 500X. Because these units are more sophisticated, they should have better handling characteristics. Another exciting change is the addition of dual-disc brakes at the front instead of the single-disc on the previous models.

Honda has also changed the alloy-wheel design on the CB500F and CBR500R. The unit on the 500X, on the other hand, remains unchanged. Honda claims that the swingarm on the 2022 500cc CB range is lighter, more flexible laterally, and stiffer rotationally. Finally, the bikes have a new ECU tune and a different radiator.

All three bikes are now available in new colour schemes, as expected with such an update.

In other news, Honda also recently launched the CB 200X in the Indian market, which rivals the Hero Xpulse 200.
