Honda 2Wheelers India released a teaser video on Monday for its upcoming adventure bike, the NX200, expected to be launched in August. Although Honda has not officially released the bike’s name, the name NX200 has been registered under the “Motorcycles and their parts” class.
The NX200 is based on the Hornet-2.0 engine and platform, will be sold through Honda RedWing dealerships. The Hornet 2.0’s 184.5cc 2-valve, air-cooled single-cylinder engine is expected to power the latest addition to Honda’s bike portfolio in the country. This engine will produce 17.26 PS and 16.1 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed unit will perform transmission duties.
Expected features include Long-travel suspension, high ground clearance, seat height, a wide handlebar, LED lighting, single-channel ABS, and a fully digital instrument panel. Off-road riders can expect knobby tyres for increased grip.
Prices for the new Honda bike will be in the range of Rs. 1.30 lakh to Rs. 1.80 Lakh when launched.
