The 2022 Honda City (4ht Gen) which was tested in the Global NCAP crash tests weighed 1260 kg. It came equipped with dual front airbags, a seat belt reminder, ISOFIX anchorages, and anti-lock braking system (4 channel).
The fourth-generation Honda City received 4 stars for adult occupant protection, scoring 12.03 out of 17 points. It provided considerable head and neck protection to the front occupants, but only modest protection to the driver’s chest and both occupants’ knees.
The C-segment sedan received four stars in the child occupant protection category, scoring 38.27 out of 49 points. The 3-year-old child dummy used in the test received good head and chest protection but limited neck protection. The 18-month-old dummy, on the other hand, was well protected in the chest and head regions.
Moreover, the fourth-generation City’s bodyshell proved unstable and could not withstand additional loads. The footwell section was also deemed unstable.
