By rolling out its cumulative 100 millionth motorcycle from the Haridwar plant in Uttarakhand, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer by volume, reached an iconic landmark. Hero 100 millionth motorcycle was the Hero Xtreme 160R, its premium commuter motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp .started operations in India in 1984 and touched the 50 million mark in 2013. By the year 2017, the company manufactured 75 million two-wheeled vehicles. In the next three years, the company’s employees tripled to 100,000 employees. From 50 million units in 2013 to a production volume of 100 million units in 2021, it took the company seven years to reach this milestone. One of the fastest auto manufacturers to reach this milestone.

Hero MotoCorp has retained the title of the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer for 20 consecutive years. Hero credits its performance over the years to clients and stakeholders. Hero said it will launch over 10 products each year for the next five years, including variants, new launches and upgrades. Apart from entering new geographies, the company has set itself ambitious targets for markets outside of India.
Hero MotoCorp launched six Celebration Edition models on the occasion of the company crossing the 100 million production mark. Splendor+, Xtreme 160R, Passion Pro, Glamour 125, Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 110. are the six celebratory versions. These models will be available for sale from February 2021.
