New Force Gurkha Unveiled – Mahindra Thar’s Rival

Force Motors recently unveiled the final production-spec avatar of the all-new 2021 Force Gurkha 2021. The brand new Force Gurkha is built on a ground-up modular architecture platform, gets Mercedes Benz G-Wagen inspired looks and an imposing stance. It also gets a host of new features that make this SUV more feature-loaded than its predecessor.

The brand new Force Gurkha draws power from a BS6 compliant 2.6 litre Mercedes Benz derived common rail, direct injection, turbocharged diesel engine. This engine pumps out 91 HP of power and 250 Nm of torque between 1400 – 2400 rpm. The new powertrain of the Gurkha uses a Lean NOX trap thereby eliminating the need for Ad Blue. The engine is paired to a 5-speed Mercedes G-28 transmission with cable shift tech and a hydraulically activated clutch. Force Gurkha also gets 4X4 with a low ratio transfer case and manually locking front axle and rear axle differentials.

In terms of looks, the Force Gurkha has undergone some major changes as the new GURKHA logo replaces the F-Logo on the front grille and gives it a distinct character, thereby reinforcing the brand GURKHA. The new Gurkha 2021 is the only vehicle in its class that features full L.E.D Force Pro Edge headlamps (pilot lamp, low-beam and high-beam), jewel-like broken circle DRLs and fender-mounted L.E.D indicators that offer a great road presence and excellent visibility. It also offers the roomiest cabin in its class with captain seats for all four occupants and over 500 litres of boot space.

In terms of features, the new 2021 Force Gurkha comes with new smart midnight black interiors complete with a new touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has a host of other convenience features too like the steering column with tilt and telescopic adjustment, power windows, central locking, new speed-sensing door locks, rear parking sensors, a single-piece rear door with wipers, variable intermittent speed front wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, cornering lamps, lead me home and lead me to Gurkha functionalities.

The all-new Force Gurkha will be available in five colour variants. They are – Red, Orange, Green, Grey and White. The price announcement for the new Gurkha shall be made in the last week of September and the bookings will also open around the same time. The new Gurkha is expected to reach the dealerships in the first week of October and the first deliveries to the off-road enthusiast customers have been planned for the Dussehra day. The new Force Gurkha comes with category best warranty of 1.5 lakh km/3 year and 4 free services.
