Electric vehicle manufacturer, Detel, has launched a new slow-speed scooter called the Easy Plus in the Indian market. This scooter caters to last-mile connectivity businesses like ride-sharing and delivery and retails at a price of Rs. 39,999.
The scooter details have been revealed at the Ride Asia Expo and interested customers can make pre-booking on the brand’s website from today for a token amount of Rs 1,999.
Detel Easy Plus is powered by a 20AH lithium-ion battery and takes just 4-5 hours time to completely charge itself. It has a 250W hub-mounted BLDC electric motor which facilitates running up to 60Km and helps to achieve 5km/hr top speed.
The Easy Plus has a distinctive bare-bones approach with very few body panels. It comes with a single-piece seat for the rider and the pillion and is equipped with LED units which powers a round-shaped headlamp and a horizontally placed taillamp.
The scooter also has a telescopic fork at the front while the rear part has twin shock absorbers. Drum brakes at both ends are used for braking which extends the scooter range using a pedal mechanism.
Metallic Red, Pearl White, Gunmetal, Metallic Black, and Metallic Yellow are some of the colours in which Detel Easy Plus is available in the market. The scooter weighs 170kg and sits 170mm above the ground and features a digital instrument console.
All bikes will be sold with a prepaid roadside assistance package and customers need to dial the toll-free assistance number if any breakdown occurs across the country. The model comes with a 1-year warranty as per standard rules and has also the benefits of after-sales service by the company.
