Datsun redi-GO 2020 Launched, Priced From Rs. 2.83 Lakhs

The Datsun redi-GO 2020 has got a few tricks up its sleeve with new changes and updates.

After a lot of spyshots, leaks and teasers the facelifted Datsun redi-GO is finally here. The new redi-GO is priced from INR 2.83 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It comes with a new design language, updated interiors and new features.

Design wise there are quite a few changes. It gets new slim headlamps, a huge front grille and new DRLs. The front and rear bumpers have been tweaked to give it an aggressive and sporty look. The 2020 redi-GO also gets new wheels covers, new LED fog lamps and taillights.

Inside the cabin the new hatchback gets quite a few important updates. The redi-GO facelift is now available with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets news trims and colours. The infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Another important feature is the reverse parking camera with guidelines.

On the safety front it gets dual front airbags (only in the top trim). You also get front and rear seat belts.

The hatchback comes with two engine options – 800 cc and 1.0 litre petrol. The 800cc motor develops 54 PS @5600 RPM and 72 NM of peak torque @4250 RPM. Transmission duties are performed by a 5-speed MT and the ARAI fuel efficiency is rated at 20.71 km/l.

The 1.0 litre petrol engine pumps out 69 PS of power and 91 Nm of torque @4250 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed MT and AMT. The manual variant returns a mileage of 21.7 km/l while the AMT delivers 22 km/l of fuel efficiency.

The Redi-GO facelift is available in six attractive colours. All in all, the new redi-GO 2020 is a compelling package. It rivals the likes of Renault Kwid and Maruti Alto.
