Citroen C3 Electric Launched, Offers A Massive Range Of 320 Kms

The Citroen eC3, the French automaker’s mass-market electric product, has finally arrived in the country. The model range is available in two variants: Live and Feel, which are priced at Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 12.43 lakh, respectively (all, ex-showroom). It should be noted that the Feel variant’s price includes a Vibe Pack and a dual-tone colour scheme. The new Citroen electric vehicle competes directly with the Tata Tiago EV, which costs between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 11.99 lakh.

The electric hatchback comes with a three-year/1,25,000-kilometer guarantee. The battery pack and electric motor have warranties of 7 years/1,40,000 km and 5 years/1,000,000 km, respectively.

The Citroen eC3’s powertrain configuration features a 29.2kWh battery pack that powers an electric motor located on the front axle. The e-motor is said to have 57bhp and 143Nm of torque. The electric hatchback can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107 mph. It has two drive modes, Eco and Standard, as well as a regenerative braking system.

In terms of features, the new Citroen eC3 comes standard with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a height adjustable driver’s seat, a 4-speaker audio system, and the MyCitroen Connect app, which provides information such as charging status, navigation to the nearest charging station, location, and more. The electric hatchback also includes dual airbags and ABS with EBD.

According to the manufacturer, the eC3 has an ARAI-certified range of 320km on a single charge. There are two charging options for the e-hatchback: a 3.3W onboard AC charger (which also supports CCS2 fast charging) and a DC fast charger. The DC fast charger takes 57 minutes to charge the battery pack from 10% to 80%.
