BMW XM Launched In India At Rs. 2.60 Crore

In India, the first-ever BMW XM has been unveiled. Bookings for the completely built-up unit (CBU) are accepted at the network of BMW dealerships. The first deliveries will happen in May 2023.

BMW M GmbH continues to provide the extraordinary performance that has never been seen before as part of its 50th-anniversary celebrations. Since the BMW M1, the first independent M model has been the XM. The XM has been completely separately created, with no conceptual starting point to be found in the BMW model lineup, like the storied mid-engined sports car M1.

The BMW XM’s outstanding visual effect is further highlighted by its external dimensions. The vehicle’s outstanding presence and impressive performance are equally highlighted by its innovative design. Clarity and assurance are highlighted by the combination of smooth surfaces and sharp edges. The attention is drawn to the illuminated BMW M kidney grille, the modern twin LED headlights, and the sizable air intakes. Each kidney’s outer border can be customized to be gold, while the inner surround features contour lighting in the form of a finely defined light ring that is, for the first time, uninterrupted.

The BMW XM is the first high-performance vehicle to include an electrified drivetrain. This generates enormous, instantly available power, which results in an exhilarating performing experience. A new V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor built into the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission make up the M Hybrid system. The combined maximum output and maximum torque of this recently created plug-in hybrid system are 480 kW (653 hp) and 800 Nm, respectively. The electric drive system produces a peak output of 145 kW (197 hp) and a maximum torque of 280 Nm at 100 to 5500 rpm, while the combustion engine produces up to 360 kW (489 hp) and a maximum torque of 650 Nm at 1600-5000 rpm.

The automobile, which costs Rs 2.6 crore (ex-showroom), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in in 4.3 seconds. The top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/hr, but with the optional M Driver’s Package, it can reach 270 km/hr. Unmistakably, a V8 engine’s note can be heard, but the XM also provides an emotionally rich sound experience when operating exclusively on electricity thanks to BMW IconicSounds Electric.
