BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Launched In India At Rs. 51.50 Lakhs

The new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine has been introduced in the country by German auto giant BMW. Locally assembled exclusively for the Indian market at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai, the car is available from today on at all BMW India dealerships in both petrol and diesel versions.

The new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine is available in one diesel variant (BMW 320Ld Luxury Line) and two petrol variants (BMW 330Li Luxury Line and BMW 330Li M Sport ‘First Edition’) which are manufactured locally.

The new addition to the BMW 3 Series family is the long wheelbase ‘Gran Limousine’. It is the highly popular BMW 3 Series long wheelbase variant. Considering the clientele’s preference for long sedans, it was introduced in India. In its category, the new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine takes the place of the longest, most spacious and comfortable car and sets a new class benchmark.

The new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine incorporates the driving pleasure and the extraordinary comfort of an exceptionally roomy sedan. Thanks to a new style with a wider, elongated body and bigger rear doors, the grandeur rises several notches higher. Thanks to the extended wheelbase, even on long journeys, there is more space to unwind, more legroom for rear passengers and a pleasant seating experience. The strong engine guarantees exciting efficiency and acceleration. It adds to its appeal the long list of indulgence features such as Panorama Glass Sunroof, Luxury Seats in front, custom ‘Vernasca’ leather upholstery, comfortable rear seat, Reverse Assist Parking Assist, Ambient Lighting, BMW Live Cockpit Professional and Wireless Charging.

The 3 Series Gran Limousine is available in two attractive design schemes – Luxury Line and M Sport First Edition which is limited to launch phase only. The new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine is available in four exciting metallic-paint schemes – Mineral White, Melbourne Red, Cashmere Silver, and Carbon Black. The options available for upholstery include Leather Vernasca Cognac | Black and Oyster | Black.

The exterior body design of the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine lends a distinctively new, sporting aura to the new, extremely precise design language of the BMW 3 Series. The unique character of long-wheelbase vehicles stems from an extra 110 millimeters of wheelbase and the associated increase in comfort, legroom and seating in the rear compartment. Encompassing a length of 4,819 millimetres and a wheelbase of 2,961 millimetres, the Gran Limousine’s exterior dimensions are greater than any other car in its class.

The interior is intended to enhance the spaciousness of the cabin. The rear doors of the BMW 3 Series are 110mm longer than those of the 4 Series, providing more legroom in the rear compartment than before. The comfort-oriented character is reflected in the advanced padding and cushioning of the rear seats, and the newly designed headrest and central armrest between the rear seats. The large cargo area accommodates long distance travel with ease. The automatic tailgate operation makes things easier to access by opening / closing the boot lid at the touch of a button. The M Sport “First Edition” has Comfort Access which further extends opening capabilities beyond the limits which allows for completely hands free operation.

The petrol and diesel engines combine maximum power and exemplary efficiency, which provide spontaneous responsiveness even at low engine speeds. The two-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine of the BMW 330Li produces a maximum output of 258 horsepower and maximum torque of 400 Nm at 1,550RPM. The vehicle reaches speeds of 0 – 100 km/hr in only 6.2 seconds. The 2.0L four-cylinder diesel engine of the BMW 320Ld produces 180 hp and 400 Nm of available torque between 1,750-2,500 rpm. The car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in just 7.6 seconds.

BMW safety features include six airbags, attention assistance, stability control system including cornering brake control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side impact protection, integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor, and isofix child seat mounting.
