The Aprilia SXR160 was launched in India in December 2020 with a price tag of Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom). Now the company has begun deliveries of the Aprilia SXR160 across showrooms in India.
Although it is based on the SR160, the SXR160 has a maxi-scooter design that puts it in direct competition with Suzuki Burgman Street. With a tinted, tall windscreen and a full-LED headlamp, the Aprilia SXR 160 gets an aggressive front end.
The Aprilia SXR160 is packed with features such as a fully digital instrument cluster, a first for an Aprilia scooter in India, in addition to a full-LED headlamp and LED tail light. In addition, it also provides USB and lockable glove box chargers. The Aprilia SX160 is powered by the same single-cylinder, three-valve, 160cc engine powered by the Aprilia SR160. This is the same engine that drives the Aprilia SR160. This motor generates 10.84bhp of power at 7,600rpm and 11.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
