The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar has a starting price of Rs. 16.74 lakhs (ex-showroom). The manufacturer has made some minor improvements as well as new RDE compliance and E20 fuel ready engine options.
As the new standards take effect in April of this year, automakers are making improvements to their powertrains to comply. Together with this, numerous automakers, including Hyundai, are modernising various mechanicals and features.
Hyundai has made a few changes to the Alcazar. The 3-row SUV now has a new grille design that borrows slightly different chrome pieces from the Venue. It receives a new puddle lamp logo as well. Apart from this, there are no other visual modifications.
The car now comes standard with ISG (Idle Stop & Go) as well as Side Airbag & Curtain Airbag across trims, for a total of 6 airbags across all variations.
The new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which replaces the 2.0-litre normally aspirated petrol engine, is the major change in the Alcazar. Yeah, it will retain the 1.5-litre diesel engine option, which delivers 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque and is presently available.
This 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine has an output of 160 PS and 235 Nm of torque. It is available in both 7-speed DCT automatic and 6-speed manual transmission systems. In contrast, the 2.0-litre unit produces 159 PS and 191 Nm of torque.
