2022 Renault Kiger Launch Price Rs. 5.84 Lakhs

Renault Tiger was intially launched in the Indian market in 2021 and has sold in decent number since its entry in the domestic market. Now, the French automaker has introduced the 2022 Kiger in the country at a starting price of Rs. 5.84 lakhs (ex-showroom). The compact SUV comes with few interior and exterior cosmetic updates and new feature additions.

Let`s talk about the changes first. The 2022 Renault Kiger gets a new dual tone colour option – Metal Mustard with Mystery Black roof. Apart from this, the turbo variants of the Kiger feature “turbo” door decals, a new front chin plate, new chrome trim on the boot lid, and 16-inch alloys with red centre caps.

Inside the cabin the updated Kiger gets quilted seat upholstery with red stitching, a PM2.5 atmospheric filter as standard, cruise control, wireless smartphone charger, and a new ‘red fade’ dashboard accent.

No mechanical changes have been made to the 2022 Renault Kiger. The compact SUV is available with two engine options – 1.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72 PS and 96 Nm and a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol mill generating 100 PS and 160 Nm.

The naturally aspirated engine comes mated to a 5-speed MT and an AMT gearbox while the turbocharged unit is pared to a 5-speed MT and a CVT transmission option.

In terms of safety equipment the compact SUV from Renault comes with 4 airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX anchorages, and to top it all the Global NCAP has given the Kiger a 4-star safety rating after its crash test assessment.

As part of the brand`s tenth year anniversary of its Indian operations the French automaker launched the RXT(O) variant last year with the more powerful 1.0 turbo petrol engine. Earlier this variant was only available with the lower powered 1.0 litre naturally aspirated engine.
