Kawasaki India has launched the 2022 Ninja 650 at a price of Rs.6.61 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest MY2022 Ninja 650 is Rs. 7,000 more expensive than its predecessor. The bike gets new colour options as part of the update.
The bike’s signature Lime Green paintwork has been updated as part of the new update. It also features white hints on the lower fairing and red pinstripe graphics replacing the previous yellow honeycomb pattern.
Furthermore, it gets the Pearl Robotic White colour scheme with metallic grey and lime green highlights. Except for these changes, the rest of the motorcycle is the same. In international markets, the bike is also available in a KRT edition. This edition is available in Lime Green/Ebony/Pearl Blizzard White colour scheme.
The motorcycle retains its full-LED headlight and tail lamp. Its 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display supports Bluetooth connectivity.
Powering the bike is a 649cc liquid-cooled engine which is shared with the Z650 streetfighter motorcycle. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed transmission and also featues a slipper clutch.
The motorcycle’s suspension is handled by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. The bike features dual-channel ABS and twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear for braking.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 rivals the likes of the CFMoto 650 GT and the Honda CBR650R in its segment.
