Honda 2-wheeler India has announced the launch of the 2022 Honda CB300R. The naked sports bike is priced at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is locally assembled and first initially showcased at the India Bike Week (IBW).
Powering the 2022 CB300R is a 286cc, 4-valve DOHC engine that churns out 31.1 bhp of max power @9000 rpm and 275 NM of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. If you notice there is a slight bump in power compared to the BSIV model. In BS4 guise the engine generated 30.45 bhp @8000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission. The 2022 CB300R comes with a slip and assist clutch.
The new motorcycle has an all-LED lighting system as well as a new LCD display. A gear position indicator and a shift light are included on the display. The new CB300R features USD front forks and a 7-step preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The kerb weight has been decreased by 1kg to 146kg, while the wheelbase has been increased by 8mm to 1,352mm.
The 2022 model year CB300R looks similar to the outgoing model, however, to the company has made a few changes to keep the product fresh. The bike features gold finish on the fork and blacked-out headlight bezel and radiator shrouds. The motorcycle also gets a revised exhaust end can for a sportier look. The 300cc sports bike is now available in two new colours namely – Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Steel Black.
Pre-bookings for the 202 Honda CB300R can be made online or at any of the Honda Big Wing dealerships across the country. The company presently has 88 touch-points, but plans to increase them to 100 by the end of March 2022.
