Earlier this month, the Star City Plus was launched by TVS with its ET-Fi technology (Ecothrust Fuel Injection). The company claims that this technology ensures 15% better fuel consumption. The model also gets a LED headlight along with a USB mobile charger.

The TVS Star City Plus comes with a 110 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine, which produces a maximum power of 8.08 bhp at 7,350 rpm and a peak torque of 8.7 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The motorcycle gets a 4-speed transmission and can reach a maximum speed of 90 km/hr. It gets telescopic forks at the front, while at the rear part, it has 5-step adjustable rear shocks to handle the suspension duties. The bike runs with 17-inch wheels shod with tubeless tyres.

The TVS Star City Plus is a value-for-money, entry-level motorcycle that is available in different colour options along with low kerb weight and a fuel-efficient engine. In the 15 year legacy of the company, Star City Plus has earned a customer base of over 3 million.

In other news, the ex-CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, Sir Ralph Speth, has been appointed by TVS to its Board of Directors. As per the statement of TVS, the company has set its “eye clear on the future” with the appointment of such an icon of the global automotive industry.

Sir Ralph will succeed Chairman of TVS Motor Company, Venu Srinivasan, who will become the Chairman Emeritus, effective immediately from January 2023. Srinivasan has built the company in 1980 and has cemented its position among the top 5 global manufacturers of two and three-wheelers.
