Here comes the 2021 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS! On January 28th, to be exact. If we are to believe Triumph, this is going to be the best ever run any Speed Triple will ever have. In fact, this will be the most comprehensive, versatile Speed Triple.
At its slickest ever, the freshest Speed Triple shall be endowed with embedded LED daytime running lights, in addition to attention-arresting twin headlights. The exposed frame lends to the muscular feel, as does the uniquely-shaped fuel tank. Further attractions are a color-crazy belly pan, mudguard of carbon fibre, sleek tail section, as well as cowl for the rear seat.
The 1160 cc triple-cylinder engine, weighing 7 kgs less than the previous edition, distinguishes the new Triumph offering. This engine belts out 178 bhp and 125 Nm of peak torque at 9000 rpm. Metzler Racetec RR tyres that can alternately be supplemented by Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres, only add to the Speed Triple’s appeal.
Different layouts on the new 5 inch TFT instrument console mesmerizes. Switchgear has better functionality whilst riding. Apart from 5 riding modes, there’s ABS, cornering ABS, front-wheel lift control, and a six-axis IMU. Configurable, each mode has varying settings for electronic intervention. Engaging characteristics include keyless ignition, integrated controls, connectivity system, and full LED lighting.
