2021 Mercedes Benz GLC launched at Rs. 57.40 lakhs

Mercedes-Benz has launched it’s brand new 2021 GLC model with top-class features that are not available on the 2020 model. This new model has been launched in India with a price range of Rs. 57.40 lakhs to Rs. 63.15 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, India).

This new GLC model is sure to skyrocket in terms of sales considering the features it has got. The German automaker has introduced front massage seats for the first time in India which passengers will surely love. Apart from the massage seats, the Me connect app is the highlight of this new model.

Car connected technologies have become a must in major luxury cars while Mercedes-Benz GLC is the latest in the race to introduce connected features. The Mercedes Me Connect Technology (MMC) comes with several features such as voice recognition integrating with Alexa Home and Google Home. The app also features the location of parking on the navigation system.

The remote engine start feature is definitely an add-on to the new GLC model as this feature helps in pre-cooling the cabin inside while you are away from the car. The digital instrument cluster provides and offers a customizable experience to the driver.  

This GLC is the smallest SUV from the series of SUVs the German company has manufactured. Regardless of this fact, the driving experience offers sheer comfort through the outstanding features inside and outside. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC is equipped with AMG body styling. the grille at the front is designed to give a cool sporty look. The new GLC model is available in Brilliant blue and High tech silver color options.

Other features on the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC include the MBUX user interface, wireless charging, cruise control, Dynamic Select, ambient lighting, and more.

Though this is the smallest SUV in the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the sales have been in contrast to the size selling more than 8400 units since it’s launch in 2016. The 2021 model has been added with new features but there is no change to the mechanicals. The SUV is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which develops 194 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The diesel powered GLC 220d model is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor delivering 192 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The transmission in both the models is an automatic 9G Tronic gearbox. 

The 2021 GLC SUV will rival the likes of the BMW X3, Volvo XC60, and Land Rover Discovery Sport in its segment.
