Mercedes-Benz has introduced E-Class LWB sedan’s facelift version 2021 in the Indian market at Rs. 63.6 lakh, ex-showroom (India).
E 200 Expression, E 200 Exclusive, E 200d Expression, E 200d Exclusive and E350d are the five variants in which the sedan’s facelift version comes. The company also gives the option to choose either one petrol or two diesel offerings.
Interested ones can register themselves for booking the 2021 E-Class LWB sedan and deliveries are yet to begin from all Mercedes-Benz dealerships across India soon.
The long-wheelbase E-Class has similar features like the S-Class which includes new headlamps set, an updated set of front and rear bumpers along with a wider 3-slat chrome grille, horizontal LED taillights and newly designed alloy wheels.
The top-spec Mercedes-Benz E 350d has a front grille made of diamond and replaces the three chrome slats. The E 350d also features the AMG-designed front and rear bumpers of the E 350d come with sportier 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels which has recently got a new Beige-Tropez Blue upholstery.
The facelift sedan comes equipped with two 12.3-inch screens (one for the instrument cluster and the other being the infotainment system) in the interior part as well as a new steering wheel with capacitive touch controls.
The new 2021-iteration of the E-Class LWB has the ‘Mercedes Me’ voice commands technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with added feature like the brand’s MBUX software with the infotainment system.
Some other features includes a new touchscreen on the rear-centre armrest, three-zone climate control, wireless chargers, panoramic sunroof, Burmester sound system, air suspension and soft-close doors.
Seven-airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control, ESP, ISOFIX, front and rear parking sensors with 360-degree camera, TPMS comes under the safety equipment section.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol which produces a maximum power of 194bhp and a peak torque of 320Nm. It also has a diesel unit that churns out a maximum power of 192bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm.
The top-spec E 350d has a more powerful 3.0-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine that has a maximum power of 282bhp and a peak torque of 600Nm. All three engines are paired to the same 9-speed automatic transmission unit.
Polar White, Obsidian Black, Hi-Tech Silver, Mojave Silver, Selenite Grey & Designo Hyacinth Red are the various colour options in which the car is available. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB competes with the likes of the Jaguar XF, BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 in the Indian market.
