The Land Rover Defender’s diesel-powered variant shows resemblance in the features, equipment and design elements to its petrol-powered counterparts. These features include the heated and power-operated ORVMs, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED taillights, rain-sensing wipers, reverse parking camera and push-button start/stop. It also features a 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a heads-up display.

The model comes equipped with the brand’s All-Terrain Response System with air suspension, cruise control, traction control, six airbags, hill-hold assist, wade sensors and a driver monitoring system.

The only difference is the diesel engine which comes standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The diesel unit is a 3.0 litre 4-cyinder turbocharged motor churning out 298 bhp and 650 Nm of torque.

The company claims that the Defender 90’s diesel version takes just 6.7s to accelerate from 0 – 100km/h while the Defender 110 diesel variants take 7s to accelerate from 0 – 100km/h. Both the models however have an electronically-limited top speed of 191km/h.
