The pricing for Kawasaki India’s flagship 2021 Ninja H2R has been revealed on the company’s official website. The track-only motorcycle costs Rs. 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). For the record, the bike was earlier priced at Rs. 75.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The bike’s exterior styling has been carried over from last year’s model with the new yearly upgrade. It retains essential exterior elements like aerodynamic winglets, a single-sided swingarm, and a rider-only saddle. The paint scheme is very identical to the previous bike’s Mirror Coated Matte Spark Black.
It is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine with a supercharger that enhances the engine’s performance. At 14,000rpm, the entire combination is claimed to produce 305.7bhp (321.8bhp with RAM Air) and 165Nm of peak torque at 12,500rpm. It comes with a six-speed transmission. It also has a bidirectional quick-shifter, as well as a slipper and assist clutch system.
The front forks are 43mm upside-down forks, while the rear unit is an Ohlins TTX36 gas-charged mono-shock setup. Dual 330mm discs in the front and a single 250mm rotor at the rear provide braking power. As part of the performance package, it also gets an Ohlins electronic steering damper. The bike weighs about 216 kg (kerb).
A Bosch-sourced Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) with Kawasaki Cornering Management Function is one of the bike’s key electronic attractions.
