BMW added another variant-the new BMW X3 xDrive 30i SportX petrol in the X3 lineup today. It is the base variant of the SUV that hit the Indian showrooms at Rs. 56.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The BMW X3 price starts at Rs.61.80 lakh price and the new variant has instead made the model affordable. In fact, it has become quite affordable than the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC which was launched recently.
The 2021 X3 xDrive 30i has a benefit worth ₹ 1.5 lakh and will only be available to those who will book the SUV online before February 28, mid-night. BMW service package and an exclusively curated BMW Accessories Package is included in the offer. The accessories package will also include any BMW original parts replacement, oil requirements for 3 years or 40,000 km, display Key, 2.5 PM air filter, LED door projectors and a universal wireless charger.
The 2021 BMW X3 xDrive 30i petrol is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, motor that puts out 248 bhp at 5200 rpm with a peak torque of 350 Nm at 1450 – 4800 rpm. The steering wheel offers paddle shifters and hold-function. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic Steptronic transmission. The new BMW variant clocks triple-digit speed in 6.3 seconds making it undoubtedly one of the quickest models in its segment. It also has Adaptive suspensions, electronically controlled Automatic Differential Brake locks (ADB-X), extended Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Assist (HSA) & Hill Descent Control (HDC). It is equipped with Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor to ensure maximum safety. Apart from all these, six airbags and ISOFIX child seat mounts are included as well.
BMW Live Cockpit Plus with an 8.8-inch touchscreen is the attractive feature that supports 3D Navigation, BMW virtual assistant and parking assistant with rear view camera. Moreover, features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 5.1-inch digital instrument cluster with analogue dials and drive modes (ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+) are included as well among others. Its boot space of 550 liters can be extendable to 1600 litres and comes with the option of the 40:20:40 split folding seats.
The front looks similar to the 30i petrol badging with a double kidney grille- flanked by the LED headlights and new hexagonal designed LED fog lamps. LED expressive taillights and a revised low-slung roof spoiler and exhaust on both sides are present on the rear side. The new BMW X3 xDrive 30i competes with the likes of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 petrol and the upcoming Audi Q5 facelift.
