Bajaj has released a new TV commercial: Racing Thrill Unleashed on its YouTube platform for the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar RS200. It shows two motorcycles of the faired sporty commuter bike in the shadows. The Bajaj Pulsar is priced at Rs. 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom) had already received a facelift in the previous year when the BS6 emission norms kicked in.
But with the facelift, the RS200 design remained the same since its first sale in the country. It retained its fully-faired styling, twin running LED DRLs along with a LED tail lamp unit and a dual-projector headlamp setup.
Burnt Red (Matte finish) and Plasma Blue (Satin finish) are the two colour options in which the Rs200 is offered along with a hot stamping pattern on the seats. The white alloy wheels come with a carbon-fibre textured finish in the front and rear fenders.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 gets its juice from a 199cc single-cylinder unit from the KTM Duke 200 which produces a maximum power of 23bhp. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 35 km/l and a top speed of 140km/h.
At the front, the new motorcycle is equipped with a chunky telescopic fork while at the rear side, it gets a gas-charged mono-shock. It features a single 300mm disc for brakes at the front and while the rear side has a 230mm disc. The standard dual-channel ABS provides a safety net.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has a mass appeal especially with the younger generation due to its impressive appearance and performance. In the domestic market it will faces stiff competition from the likes of the TVS Apache RTR series and the KTM 200 twins.
